Datuk Mohammad Saffari Mohammad Haspani

Assalamualaikum and welcome to the official website of the Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia (NAM)

NAM is the official and currently the only body representing neurosurgeons in Malaysia. Our members comprise of practicing neurosurgeons from the Ministry of Health, public universities such as Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa, as well as neurosurgeons practicing in the private sector. As such, we have a group of neurosurgeons with diverse experience and training backgrounds, locally and internationally. Despite this diversity, in keeping with the spirit of ‘One Malaysia’, we are now united under one association with common interest and goal; to promote healthy relationship amongst all neurosurgeons in Malaysia whilst providing an avenue for its members to strive in their career and professionalism.

It is also in our best interest to assist and guide the resident and trainee neurosurgeons in their continuous education in order to create a generation of neurosurgeons who are dynamic, but more importantly safe and competent in providing neurosurgical services to the public. With this in mind, NAM website was created to act as a portal for all its members to share their experience, and to discuss issues pertaining to neurosurgical practices in Malaysia as well as to discuss society matters. A ‘public’ section was created where various articles on neurosurgical topics, list of NAM members, previous and upcoming activities and other selected information are made available to public viewing.

Neurosurgical Association of Malaysia will strive to fulfill its objective with the hope that the fraternity of neurosurgery in Malaysia will grow, not only in numbers but also in strength and unity..
